What will get a site warned, restricted or taken down — and how to tell us about one.
Last updated September 10, 2026
This policy applies to every website EagleHQ builds and hosts, and to everyone who uses one. It exists so enforcement is predictable: if we act on a site, it will be for something on this page.
What is not allowed
Fraud and deception
Taking payment for work you do not intend to do, or that you are not able to do.
Inventing urgency, scarcity, or emergency call-out situations to pressure a customer.
Fake reviews, fake awards, fake certifications, or fake customer counts. See our Review Integrity Policy.
Advertising a price you do not honour, or adding fees at the point of payment that were not disclosed up front.
Impersonation
Using another business's name, logo, photography, or reviews as if they were yours.
Claiming to be, to represent, or to be authorised by a brand, manufacturer, or public body when you are not.
Presenting a location, service area, or physical address you do not operate from.
Licensing and safety claims
Advertising a trade licence, certification, bond, or insurance you do not hold.
Offering work that legally requires a licence you do not hold in that jurisdiction.
Publishing instructions or advice that would put a person, a property, or a worker at foreseeable risk.
Illegal activity
Anything that breaks the law where you operate or where your customers are.
Selling goods or services whose sale is restricted or prohibited.
Harmful content
Content that harasses, threatens, or demeans a person or a group.
Sexual or adult content on a business site, and any sexual content involving minors, ever and without exception.
Other people's work
Photos, text, video, logos, or trademarks you do not own and are not licensed to use. Copyright complaints have their own route — see our Copyright & DMCA Policy.
The platform itself
Malware, unauthorised access attempts, or anything that disrupts the Services or their infrastructure.
Reselling or sublicensing the Services without our written permission.
What happens if you break it
We act in proportion, and we start at the bottom of this list unless the harm is immediate:
1. We ask. Most reports turn out to be a misunderstanding. Our first message is usually a question, and nothing changes on your site while we wait for your answer. 2. A warning. A written notice naming what has to change and by when — normally 7 days. 3. Content removed. We take specific content off the live site. The rest of the site is untouched. 4. A feature restricted. A capability is switched off while we look. Your site stays up and you keep working. 5. Suspension. Your public site goes offline behind a plain "temporarily unavailable" notice. You keep full access to your admin so you can fix the problem, and billing pauses. 6. Take-down. Your public site is removed. You keep admin access so you can export your data, and billing pauses. 7. Termination. The relationship ends. We will walk you through exporting your data before anything is closed.
Steps 5, 6 and 7 require two EagleHQ administrators to agree in writing, and the written reason becomes part of a permanent record. We will tell you what we did and why.
If you think we got it wrong
Reply to any notice we send you, or email trust@eaglehq.us. A different person from the one who made the original decision will look at it. Restrictions can be lifted by a single administrator, so an appeal that succeeds is acted on the same day.
Reporting a site
Anyone can report a site we host, from the "Report this site" link in its footer or by emailing trust@eaglehq.us. You do not need an account, and you do not have to give your name.
We do not tell a business who reported it. Not the name, not the email address, not the fact that a report came from a customer rather than a competitor. If you report a site and the business asks us who complained, our answer is that we do not disclose reporters. The only exception is a copyright or trademark complaint, where the law requires that the person accused be told who is making the claim — the report form says so before you file one.
We aim to have a person on every report within 3 business days, and sooner for anything involving safety or illegal activity. If you gave us an email address, we will tell you how it ended.
Reporting in bad faith is itself a breach of this policy. Filing reports you know to be false, or filing them repeatedly to harass a competitor, will get your reports dismissed and may be referred on.
What we publish
We publish quarterly figures on how many reports we received, what they were about, and what we did — in aggregate, with no business named. We never quietly downrank or hide a site: if we act, we act openly and we tell the business.
